Montblanc Star Legacy Moonphase 42mm LE1786

In August of 1786, Jacques Balmat became the first person to reach the top of Mont Blanc, and he did so without ropes, ice axes, or crampons. He summitted just in time to witness L'Heure Bleue, that moment the landscape turns an intense dark blue as the sun sets and the moon and stars begin to shine.

L'Heure Bleue, or “The Blue Hour” was our inspiration for the Star Legacy Blue Capsule. The dial's shade is the colour of the glacier at dusk, under hands coated in rose gold. The timepiece is available in three variations – Automatic, Chronograph, and Moonphase – with a blue leather strap or stainless steel bracelet.

The Star Legacy Full Calendar is powered by an automatic calibre which includes the hour, minute, seconds, day, date, month, and a moonphase display. The day of the week and the month appear in apertures in the upper half of the dial, while the lower half is reserved for the moonphase display. The date is located just underneath the hour and minute indices.
